I’ve a background in working for the charity sector & I’ve specialised working with client with mental health issues; domestic abuse issues & substance misuse issues.
I have completed some counselling training so I have a very person centred approach to working with clients & I have great active listening skills when required of me & a professional attitude to work.
I’ve always been interested in natural/holistic approaches to health & being Indian I was brought up with these natural methods from childhood.
At one time I had a period of ill health myself & found holistic massage & ear acupuncture a massive benefit to me in terms of getting better.
With Reiki I loved the idea of the self healing & positive affirmations & visualisations & the meditative approach.
I work intuitively with clients & I try to tune into the client when I’m working with them.
As well as practicing these four therapies I also teach introductory courses in Indian Head massage & Thai yoga massage at local adult education colleges such as Varndean, Evolution and East Sussex College.

Which treatment is right for you?
I’d recommend all four for different reasons. If you like massage & touch therapy then Indian Head Massage or Thai Yoga Massage are best.
If you prefer lying down whist having a treatment then Thai Yoga Massage is best. If you wish to be stretched as well as massaged then Thai Yoga Massage is most suitable.
Reiki & Ear Acupuncture are very relaxing & also energy based. They are both very meditative, both help to balance the body. If addictions or mental health is a concern then Ear Acupuncture is best. If needle phobic then Reiki is best.
All the treatments I offer are energy based, as that is the common thread in all four that I offer.
Thai Yoga Massage
Thai Yoga Massage is an amazing treatment & bodywork. It can be a very dynamic treatment as it includes classic yoga based stretches. It can also be a very calm and relaxing: Thai Yoga massage is a very diverse treatment. It includes (Sen) energy line work on the body and general massage. I love the fact that all these elements are included in one treatment, which is what makes it such an intriguing and enjoyable session.
Each treatment can be completely different, as I have two and a half hours of massage techniques. The length of time for each session can be different incorporating different techniques. Thai Yoga Massage traditionally is meant to be two hour session so that the whole body is treated. A person’s body can feel completely different each time they are treated.
Thai Yoga Massage is a great way to work on achey body parts and invites the recipient to consider alignment & posture & to consider why energy appears to be stuck in these areas. One of the amazing things about Thai Yoga Massage is that it offers us a different experience of our bodies, suggests other ways that we can use our bodies so that our alignment is improved and therefore our general wellbeing is also improved.
The treatment can be for up to two hours (this covers every part of the body), including areas like the stomach which other types of massage won’t always offer. The treatment is very clever in the way that the practitioner uses their body and the recipient’s body in order to provide stretches and massage work for the recipient. I’d describe the treatment as almost like a dance between two people. The practitioner is the dominant dancer whilst the recipient is the less dominant of the pair.
Thai Yoga Massage has roots in Buddhism and requests that the practitioner works with ‘loving kindness’ to the recipients so with empathy towards them. The intention of Thai Yoga Massage is to move energy around the body so that the energy field is balanced by the end of the session.
It is all the above elements that attracted me to Thai Yoga Massage, a fascinating, amazing and highly nurturing treatment to experience, to watch or to practice. Studying and practicing Thai Yoga Massage has helped me to understand my own body patterns of stress and how to increase my own alignment: I am more aware of how I use my body, and how I can improve my alignment. I’d love the opportunity to support clients to start to develop this understanding and awareness of their bodies for themselves.
I received my training from the Sunshine Network, a renowned school in the world of Thai Yoga Massage founded by Asokananda; I was taught by two different teachers, Nicky Smith & Kira Balaskas.

Healing Stories – Ear Acupuncture
“Yazz has an amazing ability of putting people at ease, and creates a very therapeutic, safe, respectful space to which she brings a holistic and professional approach to all her clients.”
“I had never had acupuncture before, so I was not sure what to expect. I was amazed, the acupuncture had a very calming and releasing effect, and I found that I slept better, and felt more empowered and balanced after treatments. A few times I experienced a strong emotional response to a treatment, and Yazz always had a lovely calm way of making that feel ok, that it was part of the healing process. I would highly recommend Yazz as an acupuncturist because of her empathic and sensitive approach to her work and to her clients. I found the atmosphere of healing and relaxation was just what I needed!”
“I have been receiving regular Ear Acupuncture treatments from Yasmin for a while now. I wanted to have sessions because I was feeling very dizzy and quite stressed out. I feel a lot more balanced after regular treatments and the dizziness has stopped completely. I’ve now stopped taking medication from my doctor because the acupuncture has made me feel so much better.”
Reiki (Universal Life Force Energy)
I have practised Reiki since 2002 when I completed My First Degree course in Nepal, my remaining training has been completed in the UK. As a Reiki Master Practitioner I have completed:
- First Degree Reiki
- Second Degree Reiki
- Reiki Master Practitioner
- Level One Karuna Ki Reiki
This gives me excellent knowledge of Reiki allowing me to give a high standard of treatment to clients.
Benefits of Reiki
Reiki can benefit both physical & mental health issues as it works on an energetic level & based on the Indian chakra system. Reiki can work on whatever the client feels is an issue for them either physical or emotional or both as it works on the person as a whole.
First session: 1.5hrs, £45 (inc. consultation)
Subsequent sessions: 1hr, £40
Healing Stories – Reiki
“After a period of extended and extreme stress, I was diagnosed by my doctor with having post traumatic stress disorder, and to address the imbalances in my life which were aggravating my health and wellbeing.
This was linked to prior emotional, physical and psychological trauma and was manifesting in my body physically and emotionally. Physically I was experiencing skin allergies, headaches, back aches and insomnia. Emotionally, I felt unbalanced and totally alienated from my core self. I felt in an internal state of numbness, a state I had created to cope with the overwhelming stressors I had been experiencing. It was obvious to the doctor, and also to me that the physical illness had emotional pathways. The doctor advised me to take some time out from work and to ‘be kind to myself’ and look at ways of reducing and calming the levels of stress.
I felt very strongly I needed a set of sessions of reiki to restore my emotional balance and thus alleviate the associated physical symptoms.
The first session of reiki with Yasmin was extremely powerful, and I reached an out of body state, and experienced aural and visual hallucinations. Subsequent treatments have been less extreme, although equally as powerful and after 6 treatments I am significantly more balanced emotionally and much of the physical symptoms have disappeared.
Yasmin has a natural empathy and works intuitively and in sympathy with one’s self. She is perceptive and works subtly, yet powerfully on different levels. Her person centred approach enhances client’s trust and respect, aiding the healing process. She works in a holistic way, incorporating, and advising on additional factors that impact on health and well-being. Often she went beyond the forum of reiki and would advise on other aspects of my life that needed fine tuning!
She is professional, informative and knowledgeable and works in a safe and supportive way. I would highly recommend Yasmin and her gift of healing through reiki.”
“I have been receiving treatments now from Yasmin now for 5 years. Yasmin is always totally open, non-judgemental and very caring in her approach. She never fails to make me feel comfortable and reassured. Her Reiki treatments provide a lovely space to feel totally relaxed and wrapped up in regenerative warmth. After every treatment I feel much more balanced, and open to all the positives that life has to offer.”
“I’ve had regular sessions of reiki with Yasmin and really enjoyed them. I found the first session very interesting I had many memories from my childhood come back to me. I felt like I was in a dream like state. When Yasmin was working on one particular chakra my right arm flew backwards and felt like it was not in my control. Yasmin explained very sensitively to me this was because I had some blocked energy. Further sessions were much calmer and I always noticed positive effects after the treatments. I noticed my breathing was much deeper than before and I always felt very calm and relaxed too. I also saw many beautiful colours during the treatments.”
“Reiki is an intelligent energy.”
“Reiki is the most gentle means of dealing with anything you need to sort out and so this is a marvellous opportunity to come to terms with anything that has previously bothered you.”
“Reiki is a key, because it increases your love for yourself. The more you value you. The harder it is for your ego – or anyone else’s – to control you.”

Healing Stories – Indian Head Massage
“I’ve had a succession of Indian Head Massages from Yasmin, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I`d not tried it before, so Yasmin explained the technique and its effects, and answered my questions. During the sessions she checked that I was comfortable and responded to my preferences for more or less pressure. At the end of the massage, I felt so relaxed and calm, and stayed in that state for several hours. Definitely recommended!”
“Yasmin’s Indian Head massages have also provided me with a similar boost to her Reiki treatments over the years, whilst also helping to relieve tensions in my neck and shoulders.”
“I have now had several Indian Head Massage and Reiki treatments from Yasmin and I have to say that although I am not all that spiritual and don’t buy into the energies aspect of these treatments. They are however, profoundly relaxing and It has to be said that they certainly have the effect of making me very sleepy during and ‘Spaced out’ and calm and relaxed afterwards. All I can say is that if you are suffering from stress or lack of sleep then you won’t go far wrong than asking Yasmin to give you either an Indian Head massage or Reiki treatment.”
