My treatments are for someone who’s ready for a vision wider than the Western medical understanding of disease. I listen, observe and empower, to shift blocks so that you live life to the fullest in the rhythms of nature. I use the lens of Classical Chinese Medicine to identify the root cause and treat so you feel held and nurtured, while together we support your body’s incredible ability to repair itself.
My passion is working with women experiencing menstrual issues and transitioning menopause. I endured terrible pain from endometriosis from my late teens. I tried many Western treatment options, which yielded short bursts of relief but ultimately made the pain worse. Only with the support of Chinese medicine, nutrition and yoga did I escape my monthly horror, leading me to embrace my feminine cycle and amazingly hold a pregnancy. I was so delighted with my transformation; I left my career in engineering to re-train in the therapies that served me so well.
I received treatments at Anahata during my perimenopause, the therapists were supportive of my choice not to take HRT and my symptoms would have been unbearable without their wisdom. Now I’ve completed my menopause transition, I’m grateful I was aware of this resource and now I share my own insights.
I particularly enjoy the energy of the multi-bed acupuncture treatment space so I’m excited to join the team. It calls to mind an image of communal washing in the river, to chat and clear the qi of our systems together.
I graduated from the International College of Oriental Medicine (ICOM) with 1st class honours in 2025 and I am a member of the British Acupuncture Council, having achieved an approved standard of training in both Chinese and Western Medicine at degree level (a minimum of 3,600 hours of training including anatomy and physiology). I am bound by the Council’s Code of Professional Conduct and their Code of Safe Practice for Acupuncture, which defines the standards for the safe and hygienic practice of acupuncture. I attended over 400 hours of in-person clinical training and, having qualified, I engage in continuous professional development (CPD).
I am also a qualified yoga teacher and massage therapist with 25 years experience. My background includes teaching perinatal yoga and birth doula.
